This is the line which overwrites the provided add-on configuration with a boolean value https://github.com/yast/yast-add-on/blob/master/src/clients/add-on_auto.rb#L... ; at this point the add-on data gets lost and maybe other misconfiguration is done as well. Just for reference I put the bnc#187558 here, may be related for further investigation. In installation with "http://download.opensuse.org/update/13.1/" added as add-on media and it worked fine, while this resulted in a broken system (e.g. no root password set) without DUD. I am a little confused about what change you expect in Overview screen. The bug was about missing information transfer from first install stage into second stage (where e.g. root password is set). For me this works fine with DUD attached. So this is another bug and is not correlated to this one. Because of this i couldn't check the result of the installation. But in the overview screen the NIS configuration was not shown at all, as it was without addon repositories. I'm currently installing on a real maschine and check the result. BUT IT DOESN'T. Maybe the fix isn't a fix.
