BUT some tests and contatc to asus gave: The bios of this box was broken, so update. I tried: get the new kernel 2.6.23.1 from kernel.org untared make oldconfig make I did this remote (ssh) now I came up to: CC [M] drivers/net/irda/sir_dongle.o LD [M] drivers/net/irda/sir-dev.o CC [M] drivers/net/irda/esi-sir.o CC [M] drivers/net/irda/tekram-sir.o CC [M] drivers/net/irda/actisys-sir.o CC [M] drivers/net/irda/litelink-sir.o CC [M] drivers/net/irda/girbil-sir.o CC [M] drivers/net/irda/old_belkin-sir.o and the system is totally locked again.
