As a result I now have the packages bootsplash-branding-openSUSE bootsplash-branding-openSUSE-Education-sugar in parallel with splashy splashy-branding-openSUSE installed. The colorful openSUSE Education/Sugar seems to take precedence. Also once I got the "kiwi-ltsp" splash on my11.3 installation while doing a random update (already having the 11.3 Education repo there). How can I prevent from happening this on update?
