http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=551520 Summary: PowerDevil doesn't control DPMS on ASUS F3Tc with NVIDIA 7300 Go Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.2 Version: RC 2 Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.2 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: KDE4 Workspace AssignedTo: kde-maintainers@suse.de ReportedBy: distselemov@yandex.ru QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; ru; rv:1.9.1.4) Gecko/20091016 SUSE/3.5.4-1.1.2 Firefox/3.5.4 I have configured my laptop to use powerdevil as a power manager. It has default power profiles with default options enabled. When I turn on my laptop and it is running on AC performance profile is used. In such situation screen doesn't go to standby mode or turning off. But after changing the profile to powersave, for example, and returning to performance again everything begins working fine and powerdevil can control laptop's screen DPMS. The same bug was posted ot bugs.kde.org. https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=198461 I have the latest stable drivers from nvidia.com manually installed . Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Turn on your laptop with AC plugged in with performance profile activated. 2.Waite for a period of time after witch the screen of your laptop should turn off (set in powerdevil profile). 3.If it doesn't turn off change powerdevil profile to powersave and return to performance again. 4.Repeat step number 2. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
