[Bug 412905] New: Problems with network with LiveCD and 2 network cards in the machine
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=412905 Summary: Problems with network with LiveCD and 2 network cards in the machine Product: openSUSE 11.0 Version: Final Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Network AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: siegfried.olschner@novell.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- I created a LiveCD with the SUSE Studio (newest KIWI version I think). My workstation booted from LiveCD with KDE 3.5 and does not have network access after login. Perhaps it is a coincidence that YaST configured the wrong card. The machine owns a separate card and the onboard-card is not deactivated. RTL-8139/8139C/8139C+ Not configured Ethernet Network Card DHCP In the explanatory text below the selection list I can see that there is a mismatch. (?) RTL-8139... -> The device is not configured. Press Edit to configure. Ethernet Network Card -> (Not connected) Perhaps this is a problem for the standard openSUSE LiveCD too. Is it possible to configure both cards, if there is a failure during the detection of the card with the connection? If the machine owns one network card everything is ok. Can I attach some hardware data? -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
