[Bug 920784] New: Update to Firefox 36 breaks desktop integration
http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=920784 Bug ID: 920784 Summary: Update to Firefox 36 breaks desktop integration Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 13.1 Version: Final Hardware: x86-64 OS: openSUSE 13.2 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Firefox Assignee: bnc-team-mozilla@forge.provo.novell.com Reporter: jdelvare@suse.com QA Contact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- Since I installed the MozillaFirefox-36.0-59.2.x86_64 maintenance update, clicking on a web link in Claws no longer works. Instead of opening a new tab in the running Firefox and loading the target link in that tab, it opens a new window with the default (home) page. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.

Just installed claws here to see. In the settings I've got firefox '%s' and executing that with an URL on commandline opens a tab with the %s URL in Firefox for me. So far cannot reproduce.
Sorry I should have checked this first, but I did not expect it to be configurable (I thought Claws was asking GNOME to open the link.) In my settings I have: firefox -a firefox -remote "openURL(%s,new-tab)" This setting is not proposed in the drop-down so probably it's an old setting, as I am a long-time Sylpheed / Sylpheed Claws / Claws Mail user. If I set instead firefox '%s' as the drop-down suggests then links open just fine again. Thank you very much for the quick resolution :-) -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
