Just FYI, I've checked Leap Beta1 on my test box (presumably with sg3_utils coming from SLED): NO wwn-* whatsoever and Yast2-bootloader works as expected. So this is limited to Tumbleweed currently? That's the reason why nobody reported since July?
Actually, it depends wheter YaST2-Bootloader is using a /dev/disk/by-id/wwn- link. I guess on your leap installation it is just using a alternative link, maybe /dev/disk/by-id/scsi- or such. So, you don't see the problem.
Considering Hannes comments, it might be better if YaST2-Bootloader would never use /dev/disk/by-id/wwn- links.
bootloader do not store any blacklist of udev devices. What yast2-storage return as udev persistent devices is used. So only if arvin will remove some specific devices from libstorage or yast2-storage. I do not like to store such list in yast2-bootloader. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
