Perhaps the disabled items should be slightly duller? Right. I understand, but in trying to correct this problem of unreadable inactive menu-items, the fix has now created a situation where the disabled items and enabled items have very little difference in the way of colour at least at a glance. I think it is of much more importance to distinguish between enabled and disabled items in the menu than having readable text for inactive items, simply because inactive items are not meant to be used/read. The menu items looked much better pre-M8. It was clear at a glance from the menu what the active and inactive items were. Now, with this fix it is much more difficult to understand.
