Instead it is now necessary to click on the network configuration, which will show the NIC as configured to use DHCP. By mistake, I've tested incorrect version of yast2-network. There used to be bug (bnc#792985) in network initialization which was fixed for SLES and ported to OpenSUSE in yast2-network 2.25.0. This version didn't make it into 12.3 so the installation DVD contains the buggy version of yast2-network. Fix is available in Factory and wasn't released as an update bcs affects installer only. I managed to reproduce the bug on real hardware only. Sorry for misleading info in Comment#8. I'll change bug status to reflect correct state of the bug.
