I'm also able to connect to WebEx on another computer running openSUSE 10.3 (i586). We use a same binaries provided by Sun, as Ubuntu and other distros, so there should be no difference. I checked the installed files and they're almost same as in original tarball (some times ago, there was some indexing, ... but this was removed, because it causes errors in some cases). Can you test it the original Sun Java [1]?
