[Bug 345177] New: Creating crypted partition fails: pam_mount not installed
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=345177 Summary: Creating crypted partition fails: pam_mount not installed Product: openSUSE 10.3 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 10.3 Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: YaST2 AssignedTo: fehr@novell.com ReportedBy: lrupp@novell.com QAContact: jsrain@novell.com CC: lnussel@novell.com Found By: Development Starting YaST2 partitioner in an already installed system and edit an already existing partion: this partition is originaly not crypted, but it should be. Following http://www.novell.com/documentation/opensuse103/opensuse103_reference/index.... results in the following entry in /etc/fstab: /dev/sda7 /data crypt user,noauto,acl,user_xattr 0 0 But: package pam_mount which contains mount.crypt is not installed at this time! So the initial mount via YaST works - but "/etc/init.d/boot.crypto restart" fails with: mount: unknown filesystem type 'crypt' installing pam_mount or changing the fstab entry to: /dev/mapper/cr_sda7 /data ext3 acl,user_xattr,noauto 0 0 (using the filesystem as parameter) fixes the problem. So I suggest either YaST2 should require to install pam_mount if a crypto-Partition is created - or write the above statement in fstab and let cryptsetup do it's work. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
