7. resmgr is running 8. Problem is permissions not changing for /dev/hdc 9. I thought that resmgr automagically changes the ownership of /dev/hdc (and other stuffs) upon login (until SUSE10.0). There should be an ACL on /dev/hdc that allows you to access it. /dev/dsp, /dev/snd/* etc. should also have ACLs. e.g:
