Are they recognised and mounted properly? And did you try another memory-stick card (another card manufacturer) with this reader? I have similar bug with 1GB SanDisk SD card which perfectly fits Pentax Optio S7 camera but is not accessible in openSUSE. https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=251015 ------- Comment #34 from casualprogrammer@yahoo.com 2007-03-19 21:20 MST ------- Hmmm, why can I use the Memory Stick on the other Notebook then ? See https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=251011 "Memory Sticks are not supported by Linux." Where did you find this information ? -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=251015 ------- Comment #35 from oneukum@novell.com 2007-03-20 03:10 MST ------- Your other notebook is using a USB device. This device to Linux is a SCSI device. To use it, Linux need not support the MemoryStick protocol. To read a MemoryStick with a PCI device, as is included in this notebook, the protocol must be implemented in the kernel. As this protocol is not published, this would be very difficult and hasn't been done. I've asked the MMC maintainer for clarification. Therefore and because I had to make sure which notebook has which device, it took me quite long to recognize the problem. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
