This was not "copied"; or rather merely "kept" from 11.1. Given SUSE is supposed to support an upgrade from the immediate previous version, it should support this one way or another by updating xorg.conf if there are any changes.
We tried this. Unfortunately it was not appreciated, so we changed that. # rpm --changelog -q xorg-x11-server [...] ------------------------------------------------------------------- Mon Oct 19 15:16:22 CEST 2009 - sndirsch@suse.de - add 'Option "AutoAddDevices" "off"' to xorg.conf only as documented comment, since it caused a lot of confusion (bnc #548085 and various others) (In reply to comment #3)
Section "ServerFlags" # Uncomment the following option to reenable kbd/mouse driver input sections. # Otherwise evdev driver is used. #Option "AutoAddDevices" "off"
So it seems this was added some time automatically already. Good.
Correct. We add this comment to ServerFlags section, not to the input sections. I didn't remember this correctly.
Is there a way to configure evdev to use another KeyRepeat value? evdev(4) is silent about this.
Don't know either, but you can set this via xset. Just add this command to your ~/.xinitrc or ~/.xsession. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
