First make sure if you've install the gnome-keyring package. Also you can view the keyring's file in your home dir. ls -l ~./gnome2/keyring/ Second, from nm-connection-editor, you could view the user password and group password in VPN configuration. Also, when you add new configuration, you could set the user and group password. If all is ok, and kill NetworkManager, then run "NetworkManager --no-daemon" with root user, connecting the VPN server again, send me back the log in screen. I've tried the same version in my machine, it works fine.

First make sure if you've install the gnome-keyring package. Also you can view the keyring's file in your home dir.

ls -l ~./gnome2/keyring/

Doesn't exist (of course). ~/.gnome2/keyring doesn't exist either. ~/.gnome2/keyrings/login.keyring does exist. mw@linux:~/.gnome2/keyrings % ls -l total 4 -rw------- 1 mw users 3602 2008-10-17 08:51 login.keyring

Second, from nm-connection-editor, you could view the user password and group password in VPN configuration.

They're not saved.

Also, when you add new configuration, you could set the user and group password.

I did, but they weren't saved.

If all is ok, and kill NetworkManager, then run "NetworkManager --no-daemon" with root user, connecting the VPN server again, send me back the log in screen.

It should prompt dialog "Enter password for default keyring to unlock", do you view this dialog?
