dmesg log with systemd debug output
When the openSUSE 12.3 RC1 KDE LiveCD is installed in Virtualbox or QEMU with
the default partition set, which means an additional home partition, the system
hangs during the first start during "Started udev Kernel Device Manager.".
After some time the rescue shell asks for a root password.
If I install the system without a home partition (just root and swap) the
system boots fine and continues Stage 2.
This is an extract from dmesg with systemd debug messages:
[ 91.591902] systemd[1]: Job dev-vda3.device/start timed out.
[ 91.595101] systemd[1]: Job dev-vda3.device/start finished, result=timeout
[ 91.597171] systemd[1]: Timed out waiting for device dev-vda3.device.
[ 91.599084] systemd[1]: Job home.mount/start finished, result=dependency
[ 91.601227] systemd[1]: Dependency failed for /home.
[ 91.603827] systemd[1]: Job local-fs.target/start finished,
result=dependency
[ 91.605750] systemd[1]: Dependency failed for Local File Systems.
[ 91.608770] systemd[1]: Job remote-fs-pre.target/start finished,
result=dependency
[ 91.610455] systemd[1]: Dependency failed for Remote File Systems (Pre).
[ 91.612021] systemd[1]: Job remote-fs-pre.target/start failed with result
'dependency'.
[ 91.612909] systemd[1]: Job local-fs.target/start failed with result
'dependency'.
I haven't tested it on bare metal but since it does happen in QEMU and
Virtualbox it is most likely a general issue.
