THe one in the repository does not work. I have see that nvidia has release an old driver now, so i think that there is a problem, i am the only man that could only use nv now??? (i have test direct .bin from the nvidia web site and compile the driver but it is the same :/ ) I have got a GTS250M and all was working normally before :'( Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. update 2. reboot 3. then that's it... Nvidia has done it bad! They have made module for 2.6.31.5 but we have a 2.6.31.12! I could made a modprobe without any problem. I have uninstalled the package of nvidia that is not for our kernel! (they have puted some package because the one that they have released where bad) I have reinstalled all the packages releated to xserver and xorg, reinstalled the kernel and his source. Then i have installed the binary from the nvidia web site and it works!!!! So it was a nvidia fault! They have made module for 2.6.31.5 but we have a 2.6.31.12!
.. which doesn't mean *anything*. As long as the kABI is compatible there is no issue at all.
