[Bug 953007] New: YaST prososes create partition from too small free space and fails at creating it
http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=953007 Bug ID: 953007 Summary: YaST prososes create partition from too small free space and fails at creating it Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Distribution Version: Leap 42.1 Hardware: x86-64 OS: openSUSE 42.1 Status: NEW Severity: Critical Priority: P5 - None Component: Installation Assignee: yast2-maintainers@suse.de Reporter: opensuse.lietuviu.kalba@gmail.com QA Contact: jsrain@suse.com Found By: --- Blocker: --- I have openSUSE Leap 42.1 GM ISO, written into USB. During installation for just testing, I select "Create Partition Septup...", select hard disk, then mark only one partition, in "Edit Proposal settings" mark option to use Linux LVM. In "Suggested partitioning" summary I see, that new partition from free 7.84MiB will be created as /dev/sdb8. (Note: /dev/sda7 in picture is relict from traying the same configuration few minutes ago – it was created automatically in free space also). After confirming to do installation in computer, it fails to create /dev/sdb8 partition (and, if you continue, – fails create LVM also). Seems YaST should not to want to create such minimal partitions (like size of 7MiB) from free space for automatical proposition.
