[Bug 232825] New: setlists collapse to a single line in xmgrace-5.1.19
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=232825 Summary: setlists collapse to a single line in xmgrace-5.1.19 Product: openSUSE 10.2 Version: Final Platform: i386 OS/Version: Linux Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Other AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: r.pool@phys.uu.nl QAContact: qa@suse.de When using multiple data sets in xmgrace, any operation on them (after selecting and right-clicking) will cause the setlist to collapse to a single line. This makes the use of xmgrace very difficult. This effect is probably related to a bug in the beta version of openmotif that I have installed, see http://plasma-gate.weizmann.ac.il/Grace/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=599&highlight=collapse, http://plasma-gate.weizmann.ac.il/Grace/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=569 and http://bugs.motifzone.net/show_bug.cgi?id=1331. According to these pages, the bug has been solved for Fedora FC4 and FC5. Could it be possible to provide a patch for openSUSE 10.2? The bug appears in openSUSE 10.2, whereas it was not present in the 10.1 version. My installed version of openmotif is: rene@hst453:~> rpm -qa | grep motif openmotif-devel-2.3.0beta2-32 openmotif22-libs-2.2.4-28 openmotif-libs-2.3.0beta2-32 openmotif-2.3.0beta2-32 I am using the following version of xmgrace: rene@hst453:~> xmgrace -version Grace-5.1.19 GUI toolkit: @(#)Motif Version 2.3.0 Xbae version: 4007 T1lib: 1.3.1 FFT: built-in NetCDF support: on libpng: 1.2.12 libjpeg: 62 Built: Mon Nov 27 20:22:13 2006 on Linux #1 SMP Tue Sep 19 07:26:15 UTC 2006 2.6.16.21-0.25-smp i686 Compiler flags: gcc -O2 -march=i586 -mtune=i686 -fmessage-length=0 -Wall -D_FORTIFY_SOURCE=2 -g -I.. -I. -I../Xbae ../Xbae/Xbae/libXbae.a -lXm -lXpm -lXp -lXmu -lXt -lXext -lX11 -lSM -lICE ../cephes/libcephes.a -lnetcdf -lt1 -ljpeg -lpng -lz -lm -ldl Registered devices: X11 PostScript EPS MIF SVG PNM JPEG PNG Metafile (C) Copyright 1991-1995 Paul J Turner (C) Copyright 1996-2005 Grace Development Team All Rights Reserved -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.

Also on x86_64. Extremly annoying bug. I tested it also with Grace 5.1.21 (compiled from sources) - the problem persists. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
