The PCI soundcard is the problem, but with 10.2 i didn't have problems. This can be found on some devices by Creative. Do you have another sound device (such as USB-audio, even a USB-webcam has a mic)? There was a problem that the device order is changed sometimes at each boot. I need to test the pci card (ensoniq audiopci) with the esound driver to...
