[Bug 449544] New: User cannot whitelist systems on it' s own without recompiling the source ...
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=449544 Summary: User cannot whitelist systems on it's own without recompiling the source ... Product: openSUSE 11.0 Version: Final Platform: PC OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Enhancement Priority: P5 - None Component: Basesystem AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: dieter.jurzitza@t-online.de QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- Created an attachment (id=256018) --> (https://bugzilla.novell.com/attachment.cgi?id=256018) Patch against suspend-0.80-23052008, patch99 of the rpm is not required any more. If you use s2ram and your system isn't whitelisted, you have to realize this on your own - unless I didn't read the docs thoroughly enough. Therefore I prepared a patch in order to improve this behaviour, it is against suspend-0.8.20080523-01.src.rpm. If this patch is applied a configuration file containing the s2ram-entries for your machine is created in /etc called /etc/s2ram_whitelist.cfg. Any user can uncomment this and can play with the additional parameters as being used in whitelist.c; docs can be found in /etc/s2ram_whitelist.cfg. Given the apropriate parameters for your system have been found, every user could easily communicate them for a pool of entries to be integrated into s2ram. Alternatively the internal list could be "outsourced" entirely into /etc/s2ram_whitelist.cfg (or whatever name you d prefer to use) Take care Dieter Jurzitza -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
