The patches to support these touchpads are now upstream but backporting them to 3.1 kernel is taking some time but don't worry I am on it.
Thanks.
You have done good job, but there was one small thing. I have Dell vostro 3550 with Alps touchpad. With kernel from 12.1 OS is a PS/2 mouse device. I connected this repository and installed new kernel version, reboot and got a new device Alps. But I need all the packages for the kernel to build programm that require develop package. Attempts to install src.rpm or kernel-desktop-devel is not successfull, because of incomplete repository. d:~ # zypper se -s -r namtrac kernel Loading repository data... Reading installed packages... Hi, I just installed kernel 3.2-rc4 from kernel:head.
it seems the patch does not went into yet. I can also find no entry in kernel gitweb. The only kernel I can use under 12.1 is from repo namtrac.
Nice sunday,
Daniel

Guys,
I am working on this to add back functionality to 3.2 kernel, so at least you can use Kernel:HEAD repository.
I will try to backport to the 3.1 kernel later on but its more work.
Assuming this was the patchset you posted to opensuse-kernel, I've now backported it and committed to the openSUSE-12.1 branch. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
