[Bug 695767] New: firefox dies with oom with submit request #71043
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=695767 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=695767#c0 Summary: firefox dies with oom with submit request #71043 Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.4 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: Linux Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: Firefox AssignedTo: bnc-team-mozilla@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: ohering@novell.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: Outsourced Testing Blocker: --- Created an attachment (id=431119) --> (http://bugzilla.novell.com/attachment.cgi?id=431119) firefox-submit-request-71043.png gnome 11.4-x86_64 with updates. By accident I opened kernel-source submit request #71043 in firefox. First firefox became unresponsive until a popup warned that some script did not answer. I clicked on continue in the hope it would succeed shortly. But this caused firefox to consume all of my 8GB memory. I was able to kill it in a console shell. After restart of firefox it tried to open that page again. I had a top running, and for a very short time firefox used up to 2.2GB again until the popup was shown again, then (VIRT) memory usage dropped to 1.1G. Wether this is a firefox bug or caused by a broken script, no idea. I havent tried to reproduce with other versions or browsers. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
