Steps to reproduce it: 1.Setup AppArmor correctly. 2.Enable auditd and apparmor. 3.reboot the machine,then the error message mentioned above will appear in "/var/log/audit/audit.log" start syslog-ng in shell will show the following error : "io.c: bind_unix_socket(): bind failed /dev/syslog (Permission denied) Error initializing configuration, exiting." It seems that we should add "/dev/syslog w," to "sbin.syslog-ng"'s profile
