[Bug 964165] New: konsole doesn't respect size settings
http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=964165 Bug ID: 964165 Summary: konsole doesn't respect size settings Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Tumbleweed Version: 2015* Hardware: Other OS: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: KDE Applications Assignee: opensuse-kde-bugs@opensuse.org Reporter: danielm@ecoscentric.com QA Contact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- konsole doesn't use the correct size parameters stored in each profile, every time I launch a new konsole it has a (typically) small (57x19 at current font) window. It does set the correct foreground & background colours from the profile, and use the relevant font and its size, but the window size doesn't change. I have already disabled "Configure Konsol-General-Use current window size on next startup" as directed in the Edit Profile->General tab. Another oddity I notice is that if the '-e /path/to/prog' option is used then the Edit Current Profile application complains that the "Profile name is empty", however the correct profile has clearly been used, eg: konsole --profile Giggles --title yummy -e /usr/bin/mutt konsole --profile Email --title yummy_too -e /usr/bin/mutt In the first case a grey-on-blue 72 point webdings font is used, in the second a monospace 13.6 point yellow-on-black. /usr/bin/mutt is shown in the Command entry of the profile editor. konsole --version reports: QCoreApplication::arguments: Please instantiate the QApplication object first Qt: 5.5.1 KDE Frameworks: 5.18.0 Konsole: 15.12.1 -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.

Known upstream problem: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=345403 A patch is currently in review, so it will hopefully be fixed in one of the next versions. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
