It was changed on behalf of shorn not to switch. I just had Michael in the office telling me that he did not come out of the box. https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=240174 ------- Comment #4 from ma@novell.com 2007-02-05 07:36 MST ------- Sorry, but the behavior in my case is ridiculous: I installed a 10.2. The error says "error connecting to server", the details tell "no product to register". And to proceed I have to say "register later"? The mask should differ between "error" and "nothing to do". -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.

It should say "Retry", "Skip" and "Details": * Retry should go back to the initial screen * Skip should go to the next screen * Details: As of today. Please implement following the YaST design guidelines. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.

I installed a 10.2. The error says "error connecting to server", the details tell "no product to register". And to proceed I have to say "register later"?
If there are no products to register - you automatically fall out of the loop. In this case the output of suse_register (the script) was wrong. @mc - does suse_register return "no product to register" on network error? And if there was really no product to be registered suse_register should have exited with code 101 which is handled by the registration. Or it was the same error as in bug #261239 (suse_register did not return with exit code 101). But as you (ma) installed 10.2 there was a product to be registered. Due to the network error you reported you could not register and thus choose "Register later". @aj: (In reply to comment #5)
It should say "Retry", "Skip" and "Details": * Retry should go back to the initial screen * Skip should go to the next screen * Details: As of today.
Details ... ok Skip ... will reactivate it Retry ... Well, you mean that I should add a "Retry" button that behaves like a "Back" button with a wrong label? I see the need for a retry functionality. But when clicking on "Retry" a user would expect a _retry_ and not to simply return back to the initial screen. So lets call that one "Cancel" or "Back" - or give it the functionality that the label suggests. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
