[Bug 255174] New: mdadm is needed by (installed) perl-Bootloader on a system with one harddisc
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=255174 Summary: mdadm is needed by (installed) perl-Bootloader on a system with one harddisc Product: openSUSE 10.3 Version: Alpha 2 Platform: All OS/Version: SuSE Other Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: Basesystem AssignedTo: jplack@novell.com ReportedBy: lrupp@novell.com QAContact: qa@suse.de The following line in perl-Bootloader.spec is misterious: Requires: mdadm e2fsprogs => mdadm doesn't make sence on a workstation with only one single harddisc ... => same for e2fsprogs when a user installs his system on a XFS filesystem... During installation, the need for packages like mdadm or e2fsprogs should be done via YaST. Even after installation, this can be handled via YaST bootloader... So - if we need this - just a "Recommends: mdadm e2fsprogs" should be enough. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
