The above impossible error is from Michael Meeks' -Bdirect glibc patch. All the libraries are present in the usual place and my environment is clean. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=210920 ------- Comment #1 from wstephenson@novell.com 2006-10-08 12:13 MST ------- I was able to start amarokapp some time later, but the process ended (no crash) while I was afk. Now it won't start. NB 13959 was the PID of amarokapp, the actual binary started by the amarok splash/loader. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=210920 ------- Comment #2 from wstephenson@novell.com 2006-10-08 12:32 MST ------- Whether amarok starts depends on whether an ipod is mounted, which causes amarok to load a plugin to handle it. 1) With ipod: fails to start as above 2) Without ipod: starts but music collection is not shown - perhaps it fails to load the Qt sqlite plugin? It can play back DAAP music though, so it is able to load the xine output plugin. 3) Insert ipod: amarok shows a warning dialog giving the error "KLibLoader could not load the plugin: libamarok_ipod-mediadevice Error message: libdbus-1.so.2: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory". 4) Mount ipod: either crashes - no backtrace, or errors without crashing. 18455: direct binding: impossible error - can't find 'libz.so.1' in my scope 18455: direct binding: impossible error - can't find 'libXcursor.so.1' in my scope 18455: direct binding: impossible error - can't find 'libXinerama.so.1' in my scope 18455: direct binding: impossible error - can't find 'libXft.so.2' in my scope 18455: direct binding: impossible error - can't find 'libfontconfig.so.1' in my scope 18455: direct binding: impossible error - can't find 'libXext.so.6' in my scope 18455: direct binding: impossible error - can't find 'libSM.so.6' in my scope 18455: direct binding: impossible error - can't find 'libICE.so.6' in my scope 18455: direct binding: impossible error - can't find 'libpthread.so.0' in my scope 18455: direct binding: impossible error - can't find 'libgcc_s.so.1' in my scope 18455: direct binding: impossible error - can't find 'libz.so.1' in my scope 18455: direct binding: impossible error - can't find 'libXrender.so.1' in my scope 18455: direct binding: impossible error - can't find 'libfreetype.so.6' in my scope 18455: direct binding: impossible error - can't find 'libX11.so.6' in my scope 18455: direct binding: impossible error - can't find 'libSM.so.6' in my scope 18455: direct binding: impossible error - can't find 'libgcc_s.so.1' in my scope 18455: direct binding: impossible error - can't find 'libfam.so.0' in my scope 18455: direct binding: impossible error - can't find 'libX11.so.6' in my scope 18455: direct binding: impossible error - can't find 'libart_lgpl_2.so.2' in my scope 18455: direct binding: impossible error - can't find 'libXext.so.6' in my scope -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.

https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=210920 ------- Comment #6 from pbaudis@novell.com 2006-10-11 18:25 MST ------- Actually the handling of missing library in the direct binding code was not really correct either, it shouldn't flood with those messages. :-) It's getting fixed in BETA now.
