[Bug 283460] New: mysql in ppc64 out of sync with mysql in ppc
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=283460 Summary: mysql in ppc64 out of sync with mysql in ppc Product: openSUSE 10.3 Version: Alpha 4plus Platform: PowerPC-64 OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Basesystem AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: harbaugh@ncifcrf.gov QAContact: qa@suse.de As of 6/12/07, the ppc64 build of mysql is still mysql-5.0.41-10, whereas all the mysql bits in ppc are now at mysql-5.0.41-11. This makes installing mysql somewhat problematic on a ppc64 platform. Is the ppc64 mysql build going to be syncronized with the other components ppc? Now it's the other way around, ppc64 mysql is newer (since a few days).
Lars, can we do something about it or are such inconsistencies in Factory unavoidable?
Unfortunately not really. We sync the trees out, when everything is finished. As we don't have so much ppc/ppc64 build hosts, both trees could come out of sync (same happens sometimes with s390/s390x btw). Inserting a "breakpoint" which causes the faster tree to wait for the other one will cost us time... ...but currently this is the only way I see to avoid such errors. Let's see what we can do... -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
