When X server starts, the graphical output is strangly distorted. When I press Ctrl+Alt+F1 and Ctrl+F7 back to X, everything is O.K. then. It doesn't matter if I have autologin or kdm is waiting for user login. It do it right after the X server starts. ??? Can't you just exchange the graphics card? Probably nobody is still testing such old Matrox graphics cards with the current driver. I'm not aware of such a card in our company.
