So sysp thinks that 1600x1200 is no vesa mode. OTOH it also thinks that
FBBoot (what is that btw?) includes such a mode. It seems sysp is somehow
incomplete. The SaX2.log contains this (only the interesting parts):

So, also hwinfo has the 1600x1200 mode only in 8 and 16 bit, although the
card is capable of more (and the nv and nvidia driver happily accept also
24 bit), obviously because of incomplete VESA tables. But at least it
does contain the mode itself, unlike sysp.
