Anyway please attach your /var/log/messages and the yast logs to help us target the problem source. Thank you. You don't have to send me the files by e-mail as in the previous reports. Please use the "Create a New Attachment" feature on this web page. Anyway, we thank you for them. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=227682 ------- Comment #2 from kylmakorpi@kolumbus.fi 2006-12-13 15:02 MST ------- Well, after my last mail the machine was up with Ubuntu-Live in order to dig some logs from hd. When today booting to Suse 10.2 RC1 I foud out that as earlier the WLAN card was not working and (of cource) the answer to grep was nonexistent fs -> tried to get access to LAN with rmmod rt2500-pci + modprobe rt2500 -> noticed that module rt2500 was missing -> wondered, tried to recompile the module -> couldn't do that ('uname -r' gave quite a curious reply {2.6.18.2-34-default}, seems maybe something strange happened when first time compiled rt-module) -> recompiled the kernel -> booted the machine -> now uname says, as should, 2.6.18.2-23-default and it seems that everything is working as should and all the items I reported as bugs are in order now; done a couple of test-reboots and everything's working. What happened during the first + second first installation (the second installation was a 'new' installation, too) is a mystery to me but all started when installation first time crashed to Octal/Technotrend DVB-C card configuration. Now even that seems to be working...or at least I could configure that. Next step is to install the newly released 10.2, let's see, hope no déjà-vu... Anyway, thanks to all, 10.0 which I have with this workhorse I normally use has been very stable, 10.1 is very nice and let's see what 10.2 does.
