Markus, are you willing to git bisect this issue? Just the other way round (it's not a regression but something fixed in git HEAD). I'll guide you through the process. We cannot just use git HEAD for xf86-video-radeonhd ATM, because there are some regressions that are hard to fix. Therefor it's important to understand which commit makes this work for you. How did you do the bisect? I assume you missunderstood something in the process. If it turns out you did everything allright we have some weird effects from previous driver runs. The radeon driver uses a different set of registers for setup, which were supposed to work on RS740 as well (and did for quite some users). I changed radeonhd to use the same registers with commit f6c57ac96, which made several users happy, but apparently this wasn't good enough for your card. Reassigning this to Egbert, he's the one who has *much* better insight into these MC issues. However, the new radeonhd does not play well with OpenGL.
