[Bug 910907] Error occured while trying to install GRUB2 UEFI bootloader
http://bugzilla.suse.com/show_bug.cgi?id=910907
--- Comment #11 from Alain Quincerot
Above indicated that grub image running was built for "legacy-pc-bios".
I think that in "Both" mode, your grub images left on disk was loaded from MBR and thus everything follows it was pretty hard to predict.
OK, I perform a couple of tests.. BIOS parameters changed to : Secure Boot=Disabled UEFI/Legacy Boot= UEFI only CSM Support=Yes then Windows boots automatically, no menu to choice the OS, and NO Possibility to interrupt the boot !!! After a couple of trys, I plugged the openSUSE install USB stick and set the power on. During the boot of the openSUS install media,I typed "c" and I got the grub2 prompt grub_cpu=x86_64 gurb_platform=efi locale_dir=(hd0,msdos1)/EFI/BOOT/locale prefix=(hd0)/boot/x86_64/grub2-efi root=hd0 with_gfx=1 I understand that it is the grub2 that is installed on the openSUSE installation media, and that without this media I cannot choose the OS. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
