The sound works perfectly (both playback and recording) with the following change to /etc/modprobe.d/sound: options snd-hda-intel model=acer-aspire With both drivers the efect is the same. The latest alsa-driver-kmp should work without extra model option now. I'd like to close this bug since we have alsa-driver-kmp. It's a bit late to change the existing 11.0-kernel code, though.
