[Bug 547623] New: Make "system_check" task useful for developers
http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=547623 Summary: Make "system_check" task useful for developers Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.2 Version: Milestone 8 Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: WebYaST AssignedTo: kkaempf@novell.com ReportedBy: kkaempf@novell.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: Development The intention is to give developers a quick way to try WebYaST by - git clone - rake system_check - do some adaption - ruby script/server However, system_check is currently mixing runtime environment checks (dependant package versions) with install checks (webyast-* packages installed). The latter should be dropped since not every developer wants to "rake install" every time. (Think of Ubuntu system where you can't even install .rpm package easily). Tasks - make it possible to "run webyast from git" - adapt YaST to pick up files (e.g. YaPI .pm files) from the git directory (yast core has -I and -M options to specify include and module directories) -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
