[Bug 223780] New: Evolution - Shift click does not conform to CUA standards
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=223780 Summary: Evolution - Shift click does not conform to CUA standards Product: SUSE Linux 10.1 Version: Final Platform: i586 OS/Version: SuSE Linux 10.1 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Evolution AssignedTo: kharish@novell.com ReportedBy: alpha096@tpg.com.au QAContact: anagappan@novell.com The CUA standard for Shift Click is to select a defined range of items. This rand is defined as all the items between the first item to be selected by shift click AND the second item to be shift clicked. The current situation in evolution with shift click is that the first item to be selected by shift click will select a random number of concurrent entries. If an item within the display is selected towards the bottom of the view the tendency is for the system to select a small number of items above the item selected. If an item within the view is selected towards the top of the view the tendency is for for the system is to select a large number of items below the selected item. I can find NO logic as to the amount of items selected by a single shift click despite testing a variety of instances. Automatic system indexing of same field items seems to have an impact on the number of items selected, however this is not an absolute. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
