[Bug 543849] New: texlive shouldn't have entries in '/etc/permissions.d/{texlive,texlive.paranoid} for xfs /var/cache/fonts dir
http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=543849 Summary: texlive shouldn't have entries in '/etc/permissions.d/{texlive,texlive.paranoid} for xfs /var/cache/fonts dir Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.1 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.1 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Other AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: suse@tlinx.org QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-UTF-8; rv:1.9.1.3) Gecko/20090824 Firefox/3.5.3 (.NET CLR 3.5.30729) texlive has entries to reset permissions on /var/cache/fonts -- but those dirs are mostly used by 'xfs', first -- permissions for /var/cache/fonts are set in /etc/permissions, and shouldn't be duplicated in /etc/texlive. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3. Actual Results: permissions set in "/etc/permissions{,.secure,.paranoid}" are overwritten if one installs optional package texlive -- it shouldn't attempt to "take control" of the permission settings of this directory. Expected Results: /etc/textlive shouldn't mess with permissions on dirs owned by other packages (in this case, 'filesystem'). -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
