[Bug 442900] New: The KDE4 Menu Editor is Not Effective and Creates Poor results
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=442900 Summary: The KDE4 Menu Editor is Not Effective and Creates Poor results Product: openSUSE 11.0 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.0 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: KDE4 Workspace AssignedTo: kde-maintainers@suse.de ReportedBy: alpha096@virginbroadband.com.au QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: Customer With the KDE4 Classic Menu editor the user is provided with a template to edit that is not the current users Menu. The Menu Provided for Edit contains every possible Menu Item In KDE4. Its value is next to useless as saving any changes can have diabolical results in the sense you may be adding items to your Classic Menu that were never there before, by just editing one item. The Menu Editor need to edit the same copy that the user currently has, not a template of every possible application. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

the KDE4 Classic Menu editor
The menu editor is not specific to the menu style.
The Menu Provided for Edit contains every possible Menu Item In KDE4.
Do you mean menu categories? Of course, how else would you be able to move an application into them.
results in the sense you may be adding items to your Classic Menu that were never there before, by just editing one item.
I think you discovered the SUSE-specific feature of collapsing menu hierarchies with one entry. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
