[Bug 462736] New: No Support For Microsoft Keyboard and No Support for Microsoft PS2/ USB Optical InteliMouse.
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=462736 Summary: No Support For Microsoft Keyboard and No Support for Microsoft PS2/USB Optical InteliMouse. Product: openSUSE 11.0 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.0 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: SaX2 AssignedTo: sndirsch@novell.com ReportedBy: alpha096@virginbroadband.com.au QAContact: sax2-maintainer-bugs@forge.provo.novell.com Found By: Customer Sorry guys this is a difficult bug to consider, however you can close WONTFIX if you fell so Problem is there is no support for Microsoft Digital Media Keyboard 1.0A. A Biggest drawback is that all F - Function keys will not work under the GUI but will work for BIOS Enter and set-up. I am yet to test Keys in optional boot preference and installation - but will advise on 11.1 install in 2 weeks time. I am also yet to test SysRq but would assume as its a standard keyboard call it should have no problems but then I thought the Function Keys would work under the same preface. I am currently using Microsoft Internet Keyboard for this testing as others have failed. With Mouse as above the Wheel cannot be activated despite changing and testing various options in SAX. This Mouse has the regular Right and Left functions and Depress functions, however right and left paste and copy buttons appear to work O.K. The Wheel refuses to scroll any pages. I am currently using PS2/PS2 Keyboard with Wheel activation switch on and have tried many others when mouse is used as a PS2 connection. I am loath to use USB connection for both Keyboard and Mouse due to obvious reasons. Please advise if more info is required on both of the above. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

2. There is NO output from the function keys when F-lock is NOT engaged and F1-F12 depressed.
If you don't get a keycode/keysymbol event when pressing any of these keys there's nothing to map and I can't help you. I'm sorry. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
