I installed PNM (which removed KNM), and restarted KDE. The plasmoid has changed, but the original problem remains - the password is still visible. plasmoid-networkmanagement-0.9.svn1192577-7.2.i586 I'm not sure why KNM was installed instead of PNM since opensuse 11.4 comes with KDE4.6. I have read some claims that this is a bug that occurs with dvd installs (this was a dvd install) but have found no bug report or "official" confirmation. The affected file is openvpnprop.ui. With minor modifications I can get the interface to work correctly (in kuiviewer at least). I am attaching a diff file which shows the changes. This is all based on the source code in NetworkManager-kde4-0.9-svn1192577-7.2.src.rpm which shows up as the source RPM (rpm -qi plasmoid-networkmanagement). However, plasmoid-networkmanagement conflicts with NetworkManager-kde4 when trying to install it. This arrangement seems strange to me - I'm not sure how one could build this locally to test these changes.
