From YaST logs, you have eth0 - wireless, eth1 - wired and br0 is configured as bridge with eth1. But your comment #0 and files attached in comment #2 shows,

strtmode (comment #3) fixed in yast2-network-2.17.61
Marius, can you help here? What is resolv.conf problem?
When the resolv.conf was created manually or by something "unknown" in the past or when the modify policy before update disallowed this, "netconfig update" used to write resolv.conf, writes a resolv.conf.netconfig only and complains about. This also happened while update, when it was created by the NetworkManager (bug 450332) and with dhclient (default is dhcpcd) because of a bug added during one of the last betas to dhclient.conf (bug 443788). (In reply to comment #14 from Joop Boonen)
May be i'm not clear:
I did the deletion of /etc/resolv.conf rcnetowrk restart
when i now move to any location everything works fine. I don't need to delete the /etc/resolv.conf file anymore.
Yes. Then netconfig is able to create it.
I think the problem is solved when the preposed option is changed: STARTMODE='ifplugd' to STARTMODE='auto'
I would prefer if it possible that the physical interface is monitored if there is any in stead of the bridge. Only when an physical interface is available in a bridge.
This is not possible(*) at the moment. You can request it as enhancement for the next openSUSE 11.2 using a separate bug report. (*) I think, it should be possible to set up it using a custom setup; see "man ifup", POST_UP_SCRIPT / PRE_DOWN_SCRIPT or if-{up,down}.d. The eth iface is using STARTMODE='ifplugd', bridge STARTMODE="manual" and the post up/down scripts in ifcfg-eth* bring the bridge up & down. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
