[Bug 696368] New: xfig fails to load second eps file
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=696368 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=696368#c0 Summary: xfig fails to load second eps file Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.4 Version: Final Platform: Other OS/Version: openSUSE 11.4 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: X11 Applications AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: mjr19@cam.ac.uk QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686 (x86_64); en-GB; rv:1.9.2.16) Gecko/20110319 Firefox/3.6.16 The patch to make xfig work at all with gs 9.X seems to work only for the first eps file in a fig. For the second, an xfig error dialog box says Could not parse EPS file with ghostscript: [binary junk] ERROR from ghostscript: EPS object read OK, but no preview bitmap found/generated Also stderr gains a line reading sh: 1gs: ambiguous redirect The problem appears to be in f_readeps.c, line c. 324 (after applying patches): * for file Reading, Writing and/or Control can use this operator to perform * the locking needed to enter SAFER mode. */ sprintf(&gscom[strlen(gscom)], This is causing the command for the second call of gs to be concatenated onto the first. Pre-patch there was a gscom[0] = '\0'; which stopped that, although post-patch sprintf(gscom, is arguably saner. (Pre-patch gscom might have contained a required cd at this point.) Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Create a fig file containing at least two eps images 2. Save foo.fig 3. Exit xfig 4. Restart xfig as xfig foo.fig Actual Results: First eps file displayed correctly, second left blank, error dialog box appears, and line goes to stderr too. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
