I will only mention, that I do have the same problems with flash-player-9.0.115.0-0.1 on all of my 4 computers with opensuse-10.3, but not only with firefox, also with konqueror. In case of konqueror I get a crash-window. One computer is a single CPU AMD64, one Semperon64 and two Intel-core duo. All have the very same behavior. Reinstalling to flash-player-9.0.48.0-16 fixes in all cases the problem. Fix for 10.3 with regression is probably not acceptable. If we want to have this fixed, we may need a help of somebody with deep insight to Xlib. Code here is far from being trivial. Technical details: The version upgrade moved from X Focus mechanism to XEmbed. It allows to support correctly new Flash, but emulating the old X Focus plugins seems to not work properly. nspluginwrapper declares itself as a native viewer plugin declaring XEmbed support. It converts all X events to data stream in socket. Another part, nspluginviewer decodes this events back to events, now in target plugin platform, and does needed data format conversion. In case of plugins, which supports XEmbed, it passes events to the target plugin. In case of plugin, which don't support XEmbed (e. g. Adobe Reader), it translates XEmbed events to simulated X Focus events. There is a bug somewhere in the chain - Adobe Reader gets focus, but nearly immediately if loses focus.
