[Bug 399384] New: dhcp does not write /etc/ntp.conf
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=399384 Summary: dhcp does not write /etc/ntp.conf Product: openSUSE 11.0 Version: Final Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Network AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: kkeil@novell.com QAContact: qa@suse.de CC: mt@novell.com Found By: Development Install of RC4 on x86_64 without networkmanager. I did set DHCLIENT_MODIFY_NTP_CONF="yes" in /etc/sysconfig/network/dhcp and restart network, but no new /etc/ntp.conf was written, also a complete reboot did not write a new /etc/ntp.conf. A tcpdump on the DHCP server shows, that the NTP server option was requested and the info was sent out in the answer. It works very well on the same machine with SLES10 SP2. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
