Is it the case? I do not think so. My system is:- ASUS P5B motherboard(Inter HD Audio, P965 chipset), Core 2 Duo e6400, 1 GB transcend 667 MHz RAM, NVIDIA 7600 GS Video Card. Do you require any other information for this purpose? Reproduce? Simple. Just put any audio source into line-in jack(attach your FM radio into it). You will hear no sound at all. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=217910 ------- Comment #3 from rschulz@sonic.net 2006-11-08 12:32 MST ------- As an alternative reference point, I have this board (Asus P5B) and with the audio configured in the BIOS for AC97 it does work. I have not tried using audio in HD mode. https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=217910 ------- Comment #4 from vkhaitan@gmail.com 2006-11-08 15:39 MST ------- Oh, I got it. I have latest BIOS flashed already(701). It introduces a new option "HD AUDIO MODE" . If it is set to Non-VISTA, line-in doesn't work. If it is set to Vista, line-in does work. So, Schulz, you can flash latest bios and set it to vista for getting line-in work in HD AUDIO Mode :-) My bug entry is still valid, because In non-vista mode too, it should work. It does work in WindowsXp though in non-vista mode. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=217910 ------- Comment #5 from tiwai@novell.com 2006-11-09 09:23 MST ------- Well, the device setup depends on the BIOS setting (unless the driver has a certain static configuration for specific devices). So, it's basically a bug of BIOS. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.

But, anyway, thanks for reporting. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
