As a workaround I've added xterm to my startup apps (cos it starts quick) to ensure there's a window whwn it's created. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.

https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=216129 ------- Comment #15 from jmichael@novell.com 2007-05-24 15:45 MST ------- I ran into this one also. After adding a little debugging code to applet_size_request() in applets/wncklet/window_list.c, I found that the wnck_tasklist_get_size_hint_list() call is setting len to 1 instead of an even number, which will cause the loop code right below to write past the end of the allocated buffer. The write past the end of the buffer is corrupting the heap so that when g_free() is called, it notices that one of the pointers in the chain of allocated buffers is invalid and panics. I have no idea why the size_hint list that's being returned has an odd number of elements, but I think that's why gnome-panel is crashing. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
