I've several kvm/libvirtd server openSUSE 11.3 to openSUSE Factory
with version 0.9.6-3.1.2 all definitions (.xml) were working correctly.
Now with version 0.9.7-183.1
there's no more vms after a libvirtd start due to virtd error

I think you mean the Virtualization project and not Factory right?
qemu-kvm -M \? Supported machines are: pc Standard PC (alias of pc-1.0) pc-1.0 Standard PC (default)
Because you are using kvm 1.0, and Factory only has 0.15.1. At any rate, this is a known issue https://www.redhat.com/archives/libvir-list/2011-December/msg00126.html and fixed by https://www.redhat.com/archives/libvir-list/2011-December/msg00159.html I was planning to update the Virtualization project with libvirt 0.9.8 (which has the fix), but I'm running into other problems while testing. In the meantime, I suppose I should just add the patch to libvirt 0.9.7 so it will play nicely with kvm 1.0. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

I've done this now, and committed to the Virtualization project. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

virsh list --all show all the vm WARNING: no socket to connect to I don't like the no socket warning but the machine are here
Yeah, that is annoying. It seems to be coming from gnome-keyring and AFAIK is unrelated to libvirt.

Hmm, I don't see this starting a VM with similar config. Are you using the latest libvirt (0.9.8) that I submitted to the Virtualization project?
