[Bug 329666] New: Logitech RX300 middle mouse button does not work
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=329666 Summary: Logitech RX300 middle mouse button does not work Product: openSUSE 10.2 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 10.2 Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: X.Org AssignedTo: sndirsch@novell.com ReportedBy: harbrink@bluewin.ch QAContact: xorg-maintainer-bugs@forge.provo.novell.com Found By: Customer The RX300 is a new usb-PS/2-mouse model from logitech. The mouse wheel supports now 3 kinds of klicks: middle-, left- and right-click. Unfortunately these clicks seem to generate new events that are not supported by the kernel (2.6.18.8-0.5-default x86-64). So a click at the middle button does not generate an X-event at all. See also these bugreports from ubuntu and gentoo: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux-source-2.6.15/+bug/27421 and http://gentoo-wiki.com/HOWTO_Advanced_Mouse/Individual_Configurations#Logite... The mouse is recognized as 'Logitech USB-PS/2 Optical Mouse' by SAX. I also tried different other models all with the same effect. The output of lsusb is: Bus 004 Device 002: ID 046d:c040 Logitech, Inc.
