have been working my Medion 95300 for 3 years...10.2 was o.k. Yes. Since 10.3 acpi modules get autoloaded. Depending whether a specific device is declared in the BIOS, the corresponding module gets loaded. Medion seem to have forgotten to declare the device as a battery device... Hmm,

I have been fighting with the console, it's always saying
/tmp/acpidump dmidecode >/tmp/dmidecode
Then upload /tmp/acpidump and as a separate attachment /tmp/dmidecode. But if acpidump is not working we have a problem..., you do not boot a failsafe kernel or similar, best would be you also provide dmesg output: dmesg >/tmp/dmesg and attach this one also in a separate attachemnt. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

acpidump does not work for you? I very rarely saw acpidump not working, but never saw a totally empty dump...

Yes, because I requested it and the error message isn't a problem. I don't want a 4MB /var/log/messages in the bug, but unfortunately the file is empty. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
